We welcome children from the term after their 3rd birthday.  All children engage in adult led and child-initiated activities adapted to their stage of development.

Children can attend for 5 morning sessions – 8.45am-11.45am; or 5 afternoon session 12.30pm-3.30pm or use a 30 hour code over 4.5 days 8.45am-3.30pm (they will need to bring a packed lunch).  We are open term time only please see our school calendar for the pupil days.  There is wrap around care available at the school next door - please ask for more information if required.

Staff attend for a home visit to gather information about the child’s needs and interests in the comfort of their own home.  Parents are encouraged to bring the children in at the start of the session and support them to choose an activity or hand them over to a member of staff and say goodbye before leaving.  Some children require an individual approach to the settling in process, and this is discussed at the home visit or as and when required.

All staff have at least a Level 2 full and relevant Early Years Qualification with most staff holding a Level 3 or above.  Our staffing always meets the minimum requirements for ratios and spaces are allocated with this in mind.

Children and families are welcomed in at the start of the session followed by snack, free play, adult led groups, child-initiated learning with adult interactions and end of session story/rhymes.  If children are staying all day, they will have lunch and a different adult led group in the afternoon session.  Children will have experiences across all areas of learning in the EYFS curriculum through the course of the week.

We ask for a voluntary contribution towards an ‘activity fund’ which is used to purchase a variety of fruits and vegetables.  These are offered to children in both the morning and afternoon sessions.  If children are staying all day and attending lunch club, we ask that you send them in with a packed lunch.
